In the process of making gorgeous soaps for sale, we sometimes find ourselves with seconds (perfect in every way but undersized or looking NQR) and offcuts. Quintessence Soaps regularly donates soap to a local charity called The Tin Shed, Belgrave and give offcuts to the local Steiner School (Dandenong Ranges Steiner School) and donate soapy seconds to the fundraising value of around $600 per year for Thrive Cambodia, Inc

Fair Trade Soaps in Cambodia: Over the years I've made strong bonds with some special people in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I love all things Cambodian and in June 2013 I returned to Cambodia to teach soap making and to set up a social initiative based in Siem Reap Province. This is separate from Thrive Cambodia and is privately funded. You can follow us at: www.angkorbathandbody.com
Thrive Cambodia, Inc.
In 2011 my friend and I registered a fundraiser in Australia called, Thrive Cambodia. Thrive Cambodia fully funds a free english language school in rural Cambodia. The school operates an after school program which includes a free lunch for the 48-50 students who live in this community. We also sponsor 12 high school students. Quintessence Soaps assists with providing whatever resources are necessary to ensure the long term viability of the school.
