At the heart of Quintessence Soaps luscious handmade soaps is a commitment to only using natural ingredients and traditional processes:
Nourishing OLIVE OIL, our major ingredient, brings healing & moisture;
COCONUT OIL moisturizes and creates a luxurious lather;
CERTIFIED ORGANIC PALM OIL offers the soap creaminess and hardness. We are pleased to announce that the small amount of PALM we use is 100% certified organic sourced from DAABON which is an ENVIRONMENTALLY & SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE PRODUCER IN COLOMBIA. Read about why we still use palm here.
PURE ESSENTIAL OILS: Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils perfume our soaps. We source most of our E-Oils from an Australian essential oil company that is eco-accredited with “good environmental choice, Australia ltd” www.aela.org.au.
Other ingredients added for colour and texture: We use Certified Organic and Biodynamic ingredients where possible. The other ingredients you may find in our soaps are grains, spices, herbs, plant dyes, iron oxides, flower petals, French cosmetic and Organic Australian clays. Most of our soaps are vegan but a some have milk, honey and beeswax.
Ingredient Disclosure: You’ll see the ingredients listed on the display labels and on this website - we are careful to disclose all ingredients in our products.
What we don’t add: Quintessence Soaps do not contain animal fats or recycled oils, preservatives nor the petrochemical derivatives propylene glycol (emollient), sodium lauryl sulphates (detergent/foaming agent) or Sorbolene. We do not use FDA Food Colours or Fragrance Oils which are both synthetic.
Sustainability: We are wholeheartedly committed to the triple bottom line of Sustainability: financial, social and environmental responsibility. Quintessence Soaps completed the Sustainable Business Program (2008) with the shire of yarra ranges through which we formalized and improved many of our practises and created a framework for Sustainable growth.
